Western University will offer Congress delegates a wide range of food and beverage options during the week of Congress 2020.

Western Hospitality Services is a leading Canadian higher-education food service provider. Our self-operated food services have long been recognized for our commitment to nutrition, sustainability and to our guests and students’ well-being. We strive to ensure plant-centred and allergen-friendly options are readily available, locally sourced ingredients are utilized, and menus are developed using a minimal amount of processed ingredients.

Western University is proud of our STARS Gold rating in the Sustainability Tracking Assessment and Rating System (‘STARS’), administrated by the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (‘AASHE’). Our Fair Trade Campus certification and commitment to sustainable food sourcing, education and awareness, waste reduction and waste diversion, have also contributed to Western’s success in campus sustainability.

Western invites all Congress guests to join our campaign to reduce waste, recycle and compost. At UCC Centre Spot, you can compost all food scraps including cooked meats, uncoated paper serving plates and boxes, napkins, and wooden chopsticks.

Enjoy your time at Western!
