The Canadian Society of Church History (CSCH) is dedicated to promoting and encouraging research in the history of Christianity, particularly the history of Christianity in Canada. Since its founding in 1960, the Society’s annual meetings have provided a forum for historians of Christianity to present and discuss their research in a welcoming and supportive environment. The meeting is enriched by the participation of scholars at all career stages. At this year's meeting of the CSCH, we hope to focus on the Congress 2020 theme of "Bridging Divides: Confronting Colonialism and Anti-Black Racism." At the same time, we anticipate paper presentations and panels on a wide variety of topics. As in the past, we look forward to exciting panels addressing relevant issues (to use an example from recent years, a panel on indigenizing Canadian religious history). We also expect to participate in joint events with the Canadian Catholic Historical Association. Finally, we hope to hold an event -- open to all Congress participants -- featuring an international keynote speaker, as we have for the past two years.
