To attend this conference, register for Congress and add CCHA #8 in Section 3 of the registration form.
Registration is required for all conference attendees, including speakers, presenters, panelists, organizers and those chairing or attending a session.
Since 1933, The Canadian Catholic Historical Association (CCHA) has been supporting research into the history of the Roman Catholic Church in Canada. With a large nation-wide membership and a respected peer-reviewed journal, Historical Studies, the CCHA is a forum for experienced and emerging scholars to present their research to an engaged and friendly audience. Each year at Congress we have a diverse slate of presenters who give papers over a two-day period. While topics are related to Catholicism in Canada, they touch upon a range of issues like gender, ethnicity, sexuality, education, language, church history, architecture, archives, et cetera. Presenters are encouraged to become members of the CCHA (student memberships are available) and to attend our banquet. This year, we encourage everyone to attend both the President’s Reception and the downtown festival which promises to be both culturally and academically diverse.
